To celebrate YouTube’s 10 year anniversary, Sononaut worked with directors Adam Bolt and Hoku Uchiyama at Partizan on this fast paced, ambitious animation project.

The film features 74 references to some of YouTube’s best known video clips, and spotlights a total of 15 different animation techniques inspired by artists from around the world.

We restored what audio we could from the original YouTube clips – much of which was poor quality, recorded on phones – and created bespoke sound design to bring the animated visuals to life and tie it all in with Blackalicious‘ Alphabet Aerobics track.
